New student enrollment

Enrollment for new students will take place in early August.

  • For senior high students, Aug 3 through 6
  • For junior high students, Aug 6, 7, and 10

Graduation rehearsal is Wed, June 3, at 3:45 pm at UTA's College Park Center (map). Seniors have an opportunity to ride the bus to rehearsal. The bus will leave Bowie at 2:15, and we should return at approximately 6:15. If you would like to ride the bus, please go to room 200 and sign up!

Richard Greene Scholar

Josefina Ghio, class of 2016, has been selected as the 2015-16 Richard Greene Scholarship recipient. The Richard Greene Scholarship Program is a unique experience designed to develop future leaders through community service. During the recipient’s senior year she will rotate through an internship every six weeks at different community-service and local government entities, including the City of Arlington’s management and political offices, the Arlington Independent School District Administration Building, Mission Arlington, the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and some of their member businesses, the Living Science Center at River Legacy Parks, UT Arlington, and the North Central Texas Council of Governments.

Josefina is the daughter Mr. and Mrs. Robin and Esther Ghio.  Congratulations Josefina for this outstanding achievement!

GROW Award

Congratulations to Bowie High School senior Shannon Cifuentes on being honored with the 2015 GROW Award from the Texas Department of Agriculture. The award highlights a student’s special interests, service to community and family, strong work ethic, leadership, and overall character. Great job Shannon!

Summer school registration

Do you need to go to Summer School? If so, early registration will take place on Tues, June 2, from 3:30 to 5:30. Regular registration will be June 11 and 12, from 8:30 to 1:30. You will need to have your registration form and payment with you when you register. Everyone is asked to enter through the west entrance of the building. Students may pick up registration forms from their counselor.

Lady Vols Basketball Camp

Bowie coaches and former players will lead a basketball camp June 22-25, from 8:00 am to 11:30 am. Registration required. Come improve your skills and have fun doing it!
