Bowie's Closet

Bowie's Closet is officially open for business. This program provides clothing, shoes, and other personal items to students and families in need. If you or anyone you know needs help, please see Ms. Morehead in room 802. All interactions are anonymous. We are all part of the Bowie family, and we are here to help. 

 
Media Fair

AISD's Media Fair is intended to encourage students and teachers to use technology for teaching and learning. Students are invited to create curriculum-related projects in any of nine categories: animation; desktop publishing; digital audio; digital graphics; digital video; multimedia; programming and application development; web and mobile applications; and web design.

Student entries must have a sponsoring teacher and must be submitted by 3:00 on Mar 4. Winning entries will be displayed at an evening event Apr 23.

Course Registration

Course Registration for 2015-2016 school year is open now through Mar 20. Counselors will be visiting grade levels on the following dates:

  • 11th grade: Jan 22-23
  • 10th grade: Jan 28-29
  • 9th grade: Feb 18-19

AISD's Parent University is hosting a College and Career Readiness workshop on Sat, Jan 31, from 8:30 to 12:30, at Lamar High School (map). Parents, students (grades 7-12), and AISD employees are encouraged to register and attend this exciting event. Visit www.aisd.net/parentu for details.

Teens for Jeans

The Bowie Headliners are having their annual "Teens for Jeans Drive" for the homeless. Anyone can donate any kind of denim, in any size and color. We will be accepting jeans in rooms 400 and 500 until Feb 10. Please help and donate!

 
Destination Success

Sign up today for Destination Success! This is a free family college planning event that helps you walk through the college application and scholarship process. There will be prizes and scholarships given out for attending. Destination Success will be held at Sam Houston High School (map) on Feb 20, from 8:30 to 2:00 (lunch is provided).
