Boles students are expected to earn Accelerated Reading (AR) points each six weeks. Library books are coded with the AR point value. Students will also take AR tests each six weeks in the library. English and reading teachers will bring their classes to the library every 2 weeks. Students will receive more information about the library when they visit with their teachers. The library is open before and after school. Students may also come by between classes, although visiting in the library should not be a reason for tardiness to class. During class, students need a pass to come to the library. Library Aides Checking Out a Book   Daily Times for Purchasing ID's 8:30 AM to 8:55 AM 3:55 PM to 4:10 PM A maximum of three books may be checked out for a two week period and may be renewed two times. A school identification card with the student’s name, bar code, and identification number will be required for checking out materials. All fines must be paid before a student can check out a book. Fines and overdue notices will be sent out periodically and should be taken care of as soon as possible. Students with outstanding fines or overdue materials will not be allowed check-out privileges until fines have been satisfactorily cleared. The library is open from 8:45 A.M. until 4:10 P.M. each school day. A pass is required to come to the library before school. Individual students coming to the library during regular class times must also have a pass from the teacher.
