A mandatory camp meeting will be held at Lamar in the auditorium at 6 pm on August 7th. The student and parent(s) or guardian(s) should make plans to attend this meeting.

Camp Cost for 2008 is $25.00 if registration is postmarked by June 1st or $35.00 if received between Aug 7th and 14th. Checks cannot be accepted after June 1st. The cost will cover: Meals Camp T-shirt All camp activities Scholarship money will be available for those who need financial assistance.

This form must be completed and returned with full payment. Please read specific instructions (dates, etc.) on the registration form.

After the camper has registered, the parents will be given the following additional forms in a packet to fill out and return to Lamar High School:

1. Medical Authorization for AISD - This form must be notarized.
3. Ropes Course Release for AISD- A parent/guardian, the student, and an additional witness must sign this form. A student may not participate in low or high element ropes/challenge courses without the completion of this form. Participation in the ropes/challange courses is entirely voluntary. At camp, even if the form is signed, the student can decide not to participate.

Tennis shoes are required.

Pen/Pencil/Notepad
Snack Money (if you desire extra snacks)

• No radios, CD players, televisions, video games or cell phones!
• Any needed prescription medication. All must be turned in to the nurse Thursday upon arriving at camp on the Lamar High School campus .

Clothing of any kind must be school appropriate, therefore no tobacco, alcohol, or suggestive material is allowed. It is highly recommended you leave valuables at home.

No jewelry can be worn while participating in the Ropes Course!

Lamar teachers and staff will serve as camp counselors in a minimum ratio of 1 counselor for every 10 campers. Ropes courses will be led by certified rope instructors.
