Wednesday, I had lunch with all of the high school Student Council presidents at Bowie HS, and we were given a tour of the school. Everyone enjoyed the tour and was impressed with the students and facilities.
The Board of Trustees approved the 2012-2013 school calendar at last night’s board meeting. The calendar is now available online.
The football playoffs continue today. The Martin Warriors will take on San Angelo at Cravens Field, and the Bowie Volunteers will face El Paso Franklin at Grande Communications Stadium in Midland. Congratulations to coaches Bob Wager and Kenny Perry and to their teams for making it to the area round. Good luck!
Can you believe Thanksgiving is almost here? It’s once again time to celebrate the many things for which we are thankful. I hope you enjoy the long weekend next week. When we return, it will be a busy few weeks of school before winter break.

Standing against two walls are 100 heat tiles from NASA.
