The Colt Kicker Drill Team is an award winning organization composed of student-athletes from Arlington High School.  The Drill Team’s core principles include but aren’t limited to hard work, dedication, responsibility, and most importantly, team work.  Drill Team is active for both semesters.  We perform during the football and basketball seasons as well as compete against other Drill Teams across the state during competition season in the spring.  Drill Team also participates in a Holiday Tour and Parade of Lights during the Christmas Season, and a Spring Show each May.  Each summer we attend Drill Camp to learn new routines, bond with each other, and become an overall better team.  At the end of summer camp, we end by participating in a 4th of July Parade.  Drill Team is double blocked and students receive a credit for P.E. or Fine Arts.

Even though we work hard, we still have fun.  We have team outings, secret Santa’s, and we adopt angels for Arlie’s Angels.  We have an annual formal banquet to celebrate the year’s accomplishments.

Drill Team tryouts are held for one week in April.  Tryouts include evaluations on the dance routine taught at clinic, kick routine, and splits.  We have workout uniforms and performance uniforms that are bought by each Kicker.

Drill Team is hard work, but overall we have a great time. We pride ourselves in working hard, having a great time, and producing great dancers.  If you are interested in dance, spirit, fun, and being apart of an incredible organization, you should tryout for the Drill Team.  Look for the drill team at your junior high this spring with more information!  If you have any questions, contact Magan Langley.
