AHS Math Department

We offer a wide range of opportunities for students to further their education through mathematics courses.  We offer both regular level and AP/PreAP levels in most courses.  We are involved in the IB program with several offerings.

Algebra I
Algebra II
Geometry
PreCalculus
Calculus
Math Models
Statistics
IB Math Studies 1-2
IB Math SL 1-2

Tutoring is offered many times throughout the week for all courses.

We also are involved in an academic team competition through the UIL Math Team at AHS.  This team practices and competes mostly in the spring semester.

We also have a chapter of Mu Alpha Theta which is an International Honor Society for the advancement of mathematics.
