I LOVE GERMAN!!  This
is my 12th year at MHS -
and I love this school
and my kids.

My degree is in German,
and I lived 2 years in
Oldenburg, Germany.  I
hope to include my own
love of the language &
culture into teaching your
kids.

Homework Assignments!!

LATE WORK IS NOT ACCEPTED AT THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL!

Make-ups are your job!
Take care of it immediately from the homework web.
Schedule missed quizzes A.S.A.P.
Work not made up in the time allotted will receive a zero!

(Call me if there are extenuating circumstances.)

Homework Web:  Listing of Assignments

(Assignments are posted in class daily, as well on the homework web [linked above].  It is your responsibility to know it and do it!  Don't claim... "I didn't know!")

Did you know??...One zero can lower your average an entire letter grade?

Tutoring:
From Teacher:  after school on Wednesdays; at lunch on Tuesdays (with appointment).
Private Tutors:  email me for a list of NHS members (tutor at home for free).

Parents - Must know info!!

Supplies Needed:

German:  Self-addressed, stamped envelope, a 1" 3 ring binder, paper (NO spiral paper), black/blue/red pens, pencil (could use flashcards, flashdrive).  Internet access is very helpful for my class.

English:  80 pg. single subject spiral (that will stay in my room), blue/black/red pens, pencil, 3 colors of highlighters, notebook paper, 3 ring binder (either for English alone, or a portion of A-day binder or B-day binder)

Your kids have access to the German book practices online - which corrects them as they learn as well as MANY other websites I will give them to help them in their independent study!
Please encourage them to practice their German on a nightly basis.

I hope to make this an interesting year for your child
and be available to you as a MHS parent.

Should you have any questions,  please email me (linked on the left).
Thanks, ...and enjoy your year!
