Welcome to my site! I teach English and Creative Writing at Martin. This is my eighth year, and I absolutely love what I do.

Beyond my work at Martin, I'm also a comic book writer and essayist. I've published three graphic novels -- one which was recognized by the American Library Association on their 2007 Great Graphic Novels for Teens list. Dallas Observer honored me in their Best of 2006 edition as "Best Local Comic Book Writer."  I'm a regular contributor to D Magazine and the Smart Pop Series from BenBella Books.
