While students work at their own pace, they must successfully complete lessons at a pace that will let them finish and recover credit for the course they are taking.

Welcome

Hi!
I love my job!  I have been teaching at MHS since 1983 and in Arlington ISD since 1977.  I am excited to be teaching Credit Recovery this year.

Credit Recovery Information - Friday, October 24, 2008
What is Credit Recovery?
Credit Recovery is a class where students may work at their own pace on the computer to "recover" credit from a core course they failed. There are several advantages to regaining credit in this way:
  • Students repeat only the six weeks they failed, rather than the entire semester.
  • Students are able to regain credit in more than one class at a time. For example, a student may redo one six weeks in math and two in English, thereby completing the needed credit for both classes.
  • Students work at their own pace.
  • Students have access to one-on-one help when they need it.
  • Students receive immediate feedback for the work they do on the computer.
Credit Retrieval also offers flexible scheduling. Students may be scheduled in Credit Recovery as part of their regular class schedule, attend the After School program (M-Th 3:00 - 5:00), work during lunch Monday thru Thursday, or any combination of the above.
