Welcome to this site.  I currently teach Advanced Placement Biology and PreAP Biology. My background is in genetics and evolutionary biology.  I have a Master's Degree in biology, with concentrations in ecological and evolutionary biology. I have taught for 26 years here at Martin, and have taught the AP Biology classes for 14 of those years. The goal of  the AP class is to provide a solid foundation in biology which can be built upon once in college. In so doing, students will also be prepared for the AP exam offered at the end of the school year. Self-reliance is also a major goal to be reached in AP Biology. PreAP Biology is a survey class providing a strong foundation in basic topics of biology which can be expanded upon in AP Biology.
