It is such a wonderful opportunity that I get to serve as the 8th Grade Counselor at Workman Jr. High. I look forward to working with our students and their parents. My educational experience includes working with children from the early childhood age through adult.
Prior to coming to Workman as a counselor, I served as a counselor at Farrell Elementary and Barnett Jr. High. I enjoyed those years of service and look forward to the upcoming years at Workman.
My Bachelor of Art was obtained from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA; my Masters of Art in Counseling and Masters of Education in Educational Administration were obtained from Prairie View A & M University. I obtained my Technology Application certification from the University of North Texas.
The 8th grade year is a very important year of transition for our students. There are many rites of passage that 8th graders will go through before the year is over. The eighth graders have their first opportunity to take high school credit courses during the school year. However, one of the most important things they will do is building on having good work ethics and being a responsible student.
Always remember that we are here to serve you. If you have questions or concerns about your student(s), please feel free to contact us. I look forward to working with you and your Workman Wildcat student to ensure a successful 8th grade year.
