What is Intro. to Technology?
Intro. to Technology is a modular based lab class produced by Pitsco. The students work in teams of two to a computer while learning about different topics in technology. Students will be working on the same module for seven sessions (that is 4 class periods at Workman) before switching to a new module and partner.
During the semester, students will also learn about career choices and the Arlington Scholar Program. In Intro Tech we learn about technology with the aid of a computer; we are not learning how to use a computer.
What is Gateway to Technology?
Gateway To Technology consists of nine-week, stand-alone units which introduces students to various technologies and engineering. The curriculum exposes students to a broad overview of the field of technology and engineering. The units are as follows:
