Thanksgiving Feast

 

Thursday, November 19, 2009, 11:58 a.m. & 12:58 p.m.  Come and enjoy a Thanksgiving lunch with your child during his/her lunch schedule.  Please fill out the flyer and return it to your child's teacher to let us know if you will be attending so that our cafeteria staff can provide the appropriate number of meals.

 


 

Helping Your Child Succeed Academically

 

Thursday, November 19, 2009, 12:30 p.m. & 1:30 p.m.  Join us in the library as our librarian discuss online databases and resources available for parents to help their child with school work, and learn what your child is learning in his/her math class and how you as parents can help.  Dessert will be provided and your name will be entered into a drawing to receive a gift card to Kroger.


Titan Tutoring

 

Titan tutoring offers assistance to students with assignments in any content area.  Morning tutoring is Tuesday-Thursday from 8:15 to 8:45 in the library.  Students should promptly enter the building from the front doors and proceed to directly to the library.  Afternoon tutoring is Monday-Thursday from 4:00 to 5:00 in the library.  Students will be dismissed through the rear doors onto the back patio.

8th graders designed, built, and launched their water-bottle rockets from the Rocket Science module. 1st place - Lindsey M. 158 meters; 2nd place - Shannon J. 142 meters; 3rd place -  Elizabeth R. 128 meters

 


 

Parent Volunteer Work Day

 

Parents Working Hard

 

On May 13, Ferguson Junior High hosted a Parent Volunteer Work Day.  Several parents spent time in the library working on various projects for our teachers.  Their efforts are greatly appreciated.  If you are interested in volunteering, please contact your child's teacher directly or contact Nicole Davis at 682-867-1600 or nross@aisd.net .

Ferguson Students Create Short Film

 

Ferguson 7th Graders created a short film titled The Life of a 7th Grader at Ferguson Junior High School which was viewed at 6th Grade Orientation on Feb. 28, 2008.
