Calling all Santa's Helpers!

The holidays are a joyous time, but for families who are experiencing economic hardships due to the economy, it can be extremely stressful. I would like to help our Butler families in need by collecting gift cards (Target, Wal-Mart, Visa, etc.) that can be used in a variety of ways. Everything will be kept anonymous. If you would like to participate, you can leave a card in the office or put it in the decorated holder outside of the counselor's office door by Friday, December 11th. I will make sure the cards are dispersed before the holiday break. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Lunch Visitors

Dear Bronco Parents,

We believe that the time that you spend with your child here at school is valuable and should be treasured. Having lunch with your child is a great way to spend time with them at school. We will provide a designated table for you to sit at beginning Thursday, November 19, 2009. There will be occasions such as the “Dad’s Club Invite” lunches when you will be able to sit at your child’s home team table with them. As a reminder, if your child is in 1st - 6th grade they are allowed to invite one student in their grade level to eat with them at this time. Please remember to sign in at the office as well. Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to seeing you here at Butler.

Punt, Pass and Kick Competition

Congratulations to all of the Punt, Pass and Kick Winners at Butler Elementary in each grade level. The folllowing students went on to compete at Sectionals in Southlake.

Drop Off and Pick Up

Please remember to drop off and pick up in the front drive on the west side of the building (Margaret Drive). Please do NOT drop off and pick up in the north parking lot (Rocky Canyon) for safety reasons. Thank you.

Butler Activities

Mrs. Atherton, namesake of Atherton Elementary, came for her annual Thanksgiving visit to tell stories about Thanksgiving and the Indians. Mrs. Atherton always dresses as a pilgrim and has been coming to Butler for 27 years. She began her visits to Butler 27 years ago at the age of 70!

Butler honored some very special guests for Veteran's Day. Beautiful patriotic songs were performed by our students, and a delicious lunch was served for the veterans. A Butler Bronco, Josh D. was especially proud to join his father at the table.
