Ferguson Students Create Short Film
Ferguson 7th graders created a short film titled Following in the Steps of a 7th Grader which was viewed at 6th grade orientation on Feb. 23, 2010.
Ferguson Student Competes in Texas Elks Free-Throw Contest
Ferguson 8th grade student Kevin H. placed 5th in the 2010 Texas Elks State Association Hoop Shoot contest on February 20th in Carrollton, Texas. Kevin was able to compete in the north-central Texas district after he placed first in the local contest sponsored by the Arlington Elks lodge. Over 220,000 kids competed this year in the state of Texas.

Bowie HS Incoming Freshman Parent Night
The transition from junior high to high school can feel a little daunting, but it doesn't have to! Bowie High is hosting an informative evening where you can meet your student's 9th grade counselors, learn about the clubs and activities open to your child and find out what to expect in the coming year.
After a presentation in the auditorium, breakout sessions will be offered for details on: athletics, fine arts, advanced academic services, AVID, special education and counseling services.
Titan Tutoring
Titan tutoring offers assistance to students with assignments in any content area. Morning tutoring is Tuesday-Thursday from 8:15 to 8:45 in the library. Students should promptly enter the building from the front doors and proceed to directly to the library. Afternoon tutoring is Monday-Thursday from 4:00 to 5:00 in the library. Students will be dismissed through the rear doors onto the back patio.

8th graders designed, built, and launched their water-bottle rockets from the Rocket Science module. 1st place - Lindsey M. 158 meters; 2nd place - Shannon J. 142 meters; 3rd place - Elizabeth R. 128 meters
Parent Volunteer Work Day

On May 13, Ferguson Junior High hosted a Parent Volunteer Work Day. Several parents spent time in the library working on various projects for our teachers. Their efforts are greatly appreciated.
