Betty SImms          I Love to Read Day          Kay

On March 27, Johns Elementary celebrated its third annual “We Love to Read Day”. District personnel (including many district specialists), a former administrator, and family and friends of the Johns faculty joined us to share their love and enjoyment of reading. During the morning, each classroom hosted a guest reader.  Later in the day author, Karen Ferrell, talked with the fourth grade about writing and read from her book Adventures in Mathopolis: Estimating and Measuring.  Pictured above are Betty Simms, left, and Kay Lancaster, right.

Congratulations Johns Teacher of the Year

Monica Leal
