I am in my 6th year at Ferguson Jr. High as Head Basketball Coach and 4th year as Athletic Coordinator.  This is my 16th year overall.  Prior to Ferguson Jr. High I was a Physical Education and Varsity Assistant Basketball and Track Coach at Bowie High School (1999 - 2005), Assistant Basketball Coach and Fitness Center Coordinator at South Plains Junior College (1996 - 1999), and a Varsity Assistant Basketball and Track Coach at Abilene High School (1995 - 1996).  I am a graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sports Science and a former Lady Raider.  I had the privilege of being a member of the 1993 National Championship Team.  I also had the privilege of being a Varsity Assistant Coach for the 2005 State Basketball Champions and 2005 Regional Track Champions at Bowie High School.

On the personal level, I am married to Donte Wilson who currently is the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Sam Houston High School, and we have a 6 year old son Jaden and a 13 year old nephew, Tyron.  Our hobbies include watching football and basketball, fishing, playing basketball, working out, water skiing, swimming, and anything else that keeps us active.  I am originally from West Texas and grew up in a small town called Idalou (7 miles east of Lubbock).

I am very fortunate to work at Ferguson Junior High and believe it is a great place to be! I look forward to all the great things that the future holds for the Ferguson Family. 

Coach Sherrie Panter is in her 9th year at Ferguson Junior High.  She has taught 29 years which include teaching/coaching at Waxahachie Junior High, Waxahachie High School, Shackelford Junior High, then Ferguson Junior High.  (I bet she would tell you she began her teaching career at the age of 10 :)

Coach Panter graduated from UT at Arlington with a Bachelors degree in Physical Education and Health.  Over the years Coach Panter has coached a variety of sports on the Junior High - High School level such as: volleyball, basketball, cross country, track, tennis and softball.

During her spare time, Coach Panter enjoys walking (long distances-3Day 60 mile walk for Breast Cancer) biking, snow skiing, tennis, mission trips, traveling and spending time with friends and family.

She enjoys teaching Physical Education, Coaching the Lady Titans, coordinating the Hoop for Heart Program, sponsoring the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and working with her Ferguson collegues.

Coach Panter is anticipating a rewarding and successful year with the Physical Education students and the athletes at Ferguson Junior High.

This will be my 5th year at Ferguson Junior High as Head Volleyball coach and Math teacher. Prior to coming to Ferguson, I played club volleyball at the University of Texas at Arlington and other USAV teams for 5 years. I also coached for various volleyball clubs in the area for 7 years, and was fortunate enough to coach for ACE a majority of that time. I am a graduate of the University of Texas here in Arlington with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a minor of Mathematics and Biology.

I am looking forward to another great year here at Ferguson Junior High!
