EIGHTH-GRADE READING
Welcome to Bailey Jr. High! The Quest Team is looking forward to an exciting year.
This class will consist of grammar and writing as we will be preparing for the TAKS test in April. We will be doing the following throughout the year:
- reviewing the basic parts of speech (nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverb, conjunctions and prepositions)
- writing to persuade, tell a story, compare and contrast, and describe
- reading novels
- spelling and vocabulary practices weekly
Classroom Expectations:
1. Respect all nouns!
2. Do not talk while someone else is talking.
3. Follow the student code of conduct.
4. Bring all supplies every day.
5. Be prompt.
