Introduction to Careers and Technology is designed to allow students to experience many areas of technology and science that affect their daily life.  In this class learning units, called modules, have been developed to help them learn.  The students work with a partner in each of the modules.  A software management program randomly assigns students as partners.  There are 15 different modules in the tech lab.  The students study one module for seven school days.  Since this course only lasts one semester, each student will go through approximately nine modules.  The following is a list of the 15 modules:

Applied Physics, AudioBroadcasting, BioEngineering, BioTechnology, Computer Graphics & Animation, Digital Transportation, Electronics, Flight Technology, Food Science, Forensic Math, Going Green, Interior Design, Music and Sound, Package Design, Personal Finance, Rocket Science, Weather

Assignments

Minimize

Due to the nature of this class, any student could be studying any of the modules at any time during the semester. If a student is absent he/she must come into the lab from 4:00 p.m. to 4:40 p.m. to make up any work missed.  It is the responsibility of the student to make arrangements for completing the make up work with the instructor.

If a student is placed in OCS, Choices, or is Homebased he/she will be given alternative assignments.

Each six weeks average is the average of 3 rotations completed.
