Thank you for visiting!  I have been teaching for many years, but the last eleven years have been spent here at Martin.  I hope that all of my students will have a positive experience in my class and develop a love for literature. You are encouraged to contact me with your questions or concerns. 

I have a BA and an MA in English.  I love to travel especially in the New England area.  I have a fondness for lighthouses because they reflect the human need to cast light out into the darkness.   After college, I was very fortunate to have been a member of The Experiment in International Living (which was a branch of the Peace Corps), and I spent a summer in Scotland living with a family in Thurso.  I also love the outdoors and hiking.  My other passions are decorating and music.  I am a former church organist.
