Welcome!  This is my sixth year at Martin High School and I love your freshmen and seniors. I  have taught elementary school for twenty-nine years; it has been such a fun and rewarding experience to reunite with my former sixth graders from Dean P. Corey Elementary. It is difficult to imagine, but this year I actually have numerous students for the third time. My, how time flies!

As an English teacher, it is my goal to connect real world experiences to classical literature. I want your freshmen leaving my class analyzing complex texts, learning actively, expressing themselves freely, and thinking critically. I want your seniors leaving my class with the ability to synthesize difficult texts and to compose essays with appropriate academic language that gives them the confidence to succeed in their career and college choices.
