Welcome to my website and to Career and Technical Education (CTE).
In a broad sense, I teach computer graphics and digital logic, and serve as Department Head for the CTE Department. Within computer graphics, I teach Computer Applications, Computer Multimedia and Animation, and Communication Systems (the latter being a one-semester exploratory course mainly for freshmen and sophomores). Under digital logic, I teach Digital Electronics, which is an honors course within our Project Lead the Way program. In all, these courses demand a commitment to meeting business and industrial standards.
As a CTE teacher, I seek to ready my students for entry into either a related field of employment or into more advanced post secondary training. Consequently, my performance standards are set high. Hence, my courses carry an underlying theme of Rigor, Relevance, Relationships, and Results. I strive for excellence in my own performance and demand no less from my students.
In spite of all this high standard stuff, I really try hard to make my classes FUN. A fun class for students is a fun class for me.
