Welcome

I am a fourth year teacher at Martin High School teaching in the Special Education Department.  I am a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.   My husband and I have lived in Arlington for 26 years and both of our children, Nathan and Whitney, have attended or are attending Martin.  My work in the PASS program gives me an opportunity to work individually with students who have learning and behavior challenges that make it difficult for them to be successful in the classroom.  Henry Clark, also a PASS teacher, and I work together with our teaching assistants and the teachers of our contact students to meet the requirements of the Individual Education Program and Behavior Plans of each student, when appropriate.  Most students in the PASS program have a Life Management/Social Skills class in their schedule every other day.

PASS is an acronym for Pursuing Academic and Social Success.  It is my hope that each student in our program will be able to learn new ways to deal with their personal challenges so that they can maximize their learning potential and enjoy their experience as a student at Martin High School.
