It is an honor to be your principal at Farrell Elementary School. Farrell is a wonderful campus and I hope you will find it as welcoming and inviting as I do! I believe that by working together and creating a team of parent, teacher, student, and administrator, we can ensure success for our students. I hope to establish life long learners that in the future become successful and responsible citizens. I have extremely high expectaions for my students and our staff!  If you should ever need me, my door is always open. Please know that no problem is too small. I truly care about your child and want to do my very best to help. I can be reached by email at jpakele@aisd.net

The Ultimate School

Farrell Elementary School...Putting the Pieces together for The Ultimate Education

As in years past, Farrell Elementary has hoted a school-wide retreat.  August 2009 marked the fourth annual retreat and a new theme for the 2009 school year.  This year, our teacher's read the book, The Ultimate Gift by Jim Stovall.  Farrell Elementary believes in providing students the Ultimate Education.  Our goals at Farrell are about more than academics.  They are about the whole child, especially one's character.  For more infomation on The Ultimate Education, please feel free to contact my office or you can even check out the book from our library.

 Learn about the F.B.I!

The F.B.I. or Farrell Bureau of Instruction was our theme for the 2005-06 school year. The theme originated at the Summer Retreat attended by all teachers and staff.

The theme has been carried out school wide into T-shirts, pep-rallies, banners and most recently into our school-wide TAKS incentive plan. Every student at Farrell Elementary will work to master TAKS objectives in order to receive FBI badges. Once the student masters an objective, their FBI badge is displayed with honor, and they get to move on to the next objective. Every day, a Jr. Special Agent's name is announced on the intercom if they have mastered a TAKS objective.  That Jr. Special Agent then receives a Falcon Dollar.  The purpose of our TAKS incentive plan is not only for students to master their objectives but also for the younger grades to have an important role in the TAKS process and a familiarity with the test.
