The District Intervention Specialist program is a support program for students and parents, providing early intervention and rehabilitation referral services regarding alcohol, tobacco, and drug use. The Intervention Specialists work to develop, implement and enhance educational programs of drug prevention in elementary and secondary schools. Further, the program provides substance abuse educational services to faculty and community members in order to promote safe and drug free schools and communities.
