8th grade Math -----------------------------------------------------------
Hoyt Ferguson I received a degree in Business Administration in 1983, retired from the federal government after 30 years and began teaching in 2002. I want to pass on some "worldly learning" to better prepare our students for their tomorrows. -Back to Faculty Page- Even Math Can Be Fun!!!	Getting Acquainted! This is my 5th year teaching and my 4th year here at Workman. I am a retired 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserves. I have traveled around the world twice and have visited almost every state in the United States. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I love algebra and love teaching our up and coming teens what algebra is all about. I explain to them that they are learning how to organize thoughts and how to use logic to break down big problems into little pieces which can be used to find a solution. BOTTOM LINE - I TEACH THEM TO THINK, ( and learn a little algebra along the way). - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We always strive for excellance in my math class as we learn logic, organization and a little bit of math.
