Denise Coon, assistant principal
Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year at Bailey Junior High. Bailey is a traditional school with a team and family culture. The faculty works closely together to ensure the success of all our students. This year I will be working with the eighth-grade students, the same students that I worked with last year as seventh graders. Working with the same group for two years allows me to establish a working relationship with the students and their parents.
This is my 35th year in education. For 26 years I taught mathematics in Arlington ISD, El Paso ISD, Ysleta ISD, and Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD. I served as assistant principal of Alternative Education Program in Hurst-Euless-Bedford ISD for two years and have proudly served at Bailey Junior High as assistant principal for the past eight years.
A successful education depends not only on the student's successes but also on the unity of parents, teachers and the community.
Bailey is "Simply the Best."
