Shackweb Changes!

Attention students and parents Shackweb is undergoing a transition.

At the top of the page there is a new tab called "Core Classes".  Under this tab you will find Math, English, History, Science and Reading.  For information or assignments in any of these classes just locate the subject and click on your or your child's teacher.  If you are looking for information regarding a class other than those listed above, mouse over the Electives tab.  There you will find the remainder of classes offered here at Shack.

Homework

  Dear Parents:

Being a student is challenging, but luckily there are certain things your child can do to make his/her job at school easier and to help ensure his/her future success.  According to the book, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, practicing organizational skills, such as writing assignments in a planner, prepares students for success inside and outside of the classroom.  We strive to help every student achieve success; therefore, we provide time at the beginning of each class period for students to write the homework assignments in their Shack Attack (the school provided planner).

As a team, we feel that writing daily homework assignments in the Shack Attack is a very valuable skill that will benefit our students for years to come; therefore, the use of the homework page on www.shackweb.com should be used only as a back up to what your child does in class!  Although we will make every effort to update the homework page daily, there are often instances when the information may not be updated on a daily basis.

Reinforcing this skill at home is another way to establish good organizational habits for your student.  Why not check your child's Shack Attack on a daily basis to ensure that they’ve been doing their job?  If they have been, you can congratulate them on a job well done!  If they haven’t been, then you can discuss the importance of staying organized.

Please encourage your child to write in their Shack Attack daily!

Sincerely,

North Stars
