SENIORS-Order Your Final Transcript

ATTENTION SENIORS - Order Your Final Transcript

You must send a final transcript to your college!!!

Requests for transcripts must be turned in to the registrar in the Counseling Office.  Final transcripts are $3 each.

1.   Orders for final transcripts will be accepted May 7-June 1 (forms available in the counseling office). Most colleges require the transcript to be sent from AHS rather than from you.

2.   You may want an additional transcript mailed to your home.

3.   Envelopes must be letter size or brown envelopes with the complete correct address of your university.

4.   Only 1 transcript can be placed in a letter size envelope. If you need more than one sent to the same address, you must bring a brown envelope or multiple letter size envelopes (extra postage required for large envelope).

5.   The registrar has AHS return address labels.

6.   You are responsible for putting the correct amount of postage on the envelope before you turn it in with your order.

8.   After the transcripts are sealed, they will be taken directly to the Post Office.

9.   The registrar will only mail transcripts that are pre-ordered between May 7 and June 1.

10.  No transcript requests will be taken from June 4—June 8.

11.  Transcripts ordered June 11—June 14 will be produced as you wait.  Please bring an envelope if you need it sealed.  You will be responsible for the mailing.

NOTE:  Students who have completed Dual Credit courses at AHS thru TCC must order a separate transcript (showing those credits) from TCC.  The Dual Credit class will be listed on the AHS transcript but cannot be considered as a college credit unless it is listed on a TCC transcript.

Students wanting to enroll in dual credit classes in the summer or next year can see their counselor to check for eligibility.  GPA must be 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and have at least 16 credits by the end of the year.  Pick up a Request for Testing form and turn it in to Ms. Hancock by January 16th.  The Accuplacer test will be given after school on January 30th or 31st .  A second opportunity for testing will be on February 22nd or 23rd.  To test on this date you must have your Request for Testing form turned in by February 16th.  No request forms will be accepted after that date.  Upon passing the appropriate sections of the Accuplacer test, students will be given the appropriate paperwork to enroll in dual credit.  Cost for each semester class is $50 in the summer and $52 per semester class beginning in the fall. Students can take a maximum of 2 classes per semester.  An information sheet is located on the documents section of this website.  Contact Ms. Hancock in the counseling office for questions!

The Texas Education Agency has developed two websites to help students strengthen their academic skills and improve their performance on TAKS tests.  These two websites are:  www.YourStudyGuide.com/Texas and www.texasassessment.com/studyguides.  An alternate website for TAKS tutorials is www.track.uttelecampus.org.
  • Promotion Information
  • To be promoted to the next grade students must have the required number of credits.  Sophomores must have 6 credits, juniors must have 12 credits and seniors must have 18 credits.  Students are only re-classified at the start of each school year.
