Areas of Interest
  • Credit Recovery
Our Credit Recovery program enables students, if accepted, to make up a course failed for a six weeks or a course failed for the semester.  Students work on the computer using the Plato program.  Explanatory packets and credit recovery applications are available through a student’s counselor.
  • Testing Information - TAKS
Students are required to perform satisfactorily on the secondary exit-level assessment instruments for English language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science in order to qualify for a high school diploma.  Students will be required to take TAKS tests based on the official classification given by the school district.
The Texas Education Agency has developed two websites to help students strengthen their academic skills and improve their performance on TAKS tests.  These two websites are:  www.YourStudyGuide.com/Texas and www.texasassessment.com/studyguides.  An alternate website for TAKS tutorials is www.track.uttelecampus.org.
  • Promotion Information
  • To be promoted to the next grade students must have the required number of credits.  Sophomores must have 6 credits, juniors must have 12 credits and seniors must have 18 credits.  Students are only re-classified at the start of each school year.
