Ashworth PTA Needs You!
On September 29, Ashworth conducted is annual fall school bus evacuation drill. Though our children do not need to ride busses frequently, it's important that they know how to exit a bus during an emergency. AISD representatives along with over a dozen busses and bus drivers joined together to make sure every student was trained in the procedures.
Pictures (clockwise from upper left):
- Mrs. Jones helps students evacuate the bus from the front exit
- Mr. Gerald Bunch, Special Ed Specialist in Transportation
- Mr. Jimmy Womack, Director of Transportation and Security for AISD with Ms. Greer and Mr. Brunk
- Practicing exiting the back exit of the bus.
- AISD bus drivers thank students for their participation.
We are proud to welcome our new 5th grade Social Studies teacher, Ms. Kaju, to our staff!
Ms. Kaju comes to us from Sherrod Elementary, and she is extremely excited to be at Ashworth!
Congratulations to Ashworth Elementary Second Grade teacher Mrs. Carol Sivadge, who won an Arlington ISD Education Foundation grant. Through Mrs. Sivadge’s “Youth Field Investigator” program, 90 Ashworth students will be able to experience a field trip to River Legacy Park. Thanks to the Arlington ISD Education Foundation!
