Atherton Highlights: Mrs. Grace Atherton tells Thanksgiving stories!

 

Atherton's namesake, Mrs. Grace Atherton, visited the school for the twentieth year in a row to tell Thanksgiving Day stories to the students. Pictured above, Mrs. Atherton dressed as a pilgrim and recited intriguing Thanksgiving stories about Abraham Lincoln's favorite pig, a bear hunt that the pilgrim children went on, and the trip on the Mayflower. Mrs. Atherton said she is looking forward to her 96th birthday and that the children always energize her.
