School Resource Officer

Officer Harrison of the Arlington Police Department is the School Resource Officer for Carter. One goal of the SRO is to teach kids to resolve conflicts without using violence. Another goal is to establish a good rapport between students and the police so kids don't feel threatened by police presence. In this way they learn to respect authority outside the classroom and the school.

AISD Security

 

Sheila Kawasmi provides AISD security at Carter. She monitors the halls, the courtyard and the perimeter of the building working closely with Officer Samples and the Administrators to enforce school district policies and keep us all safe.

 In addition, to provide a safe and secure environment for students and staff, the Crimestoppers Program is alive and well at CJH. 

If students, faculty, or anyone witnesses a crime at home, in public, at school or anywhere else, Crimestoppers can be contacted by calling 817-469-TIPS (8477). Also, Crimestoppers can be accessed by logging on to www.469tips.com which is the Safe Cities Commission website.

Students can leave Crimestopper tips at this online website as well as anyone else. A person who leaves a tip may be eligible for a cash reward up to $1000.

Students may also of course talk with a principal, the SRO or any adult whom they trust.

Crimestoppers faculty sponsor is Rio Ward in room 200.
