Welcome to this site. I currently teach Advanced Placement Biology and PreAP Biology. My background is in genetics and evolutionary biology. I have a Master's Degree in biology, with concentrations in ecological and evolutionary biology. I am starting my 29th year here at Martin, and my 17th year of teaching AP. The goal of the AP class is to provide a solid foundation in biology which can be built upon once in college. Students will also be prepared for the AP exam offered in May. Self-reliance is an additional goal set for students in AP Biology. PreAP Biology is a survey class providing a strong foundation in basic topics of biology which will be expanded upon in AP Biology.
