Bienvenidos a mi Clase! - Friday, November 18, 2011

   Speaking Spanish takes practice.  I strive to have Spanish spoken at least 80 to 90 percent of the time. 

   I am available for Tutoring every day at lunch and after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

   Tutoring is available on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the Spanish Study Center for all Spanish students and levels in Room 174 (my room) on Wednesday  from 3:00 to 4:00 pm and in Ms. Conant's Room 162 on Thursdays.

 I enjoy teaching Spanish.  I'm proud of the fact that in my senior year of college I was selected Texas Student Teacher of the Year for my thesis "Labels are for Jelly Jars - not students".  I have an MBA, a double Major in Spanish/History.  I graduated in the top 2% of my class.  I worked in the business field and was promoted to Vice President of Finance before returning to teaching.  I have over 15 years of teaching experience in Spanish, most of which was accomplished in Central and South America.  My personal accomplishments are that I have a Private Pilot's license, and captained my own sailboat for 10 years.  I love jogging, cooking, reading and working crossword puzzles.  My pet pieve - people not doing what they say they are going to do.
