Welcome to my website!
I am a teacher with the Career and Technology Department (CTE) at Martin High School. I hold a teaching certificite in Technology Education as well as B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University. I worked in industry for four years before becoming a teacher. Here at Martin, I teach Introduction to Engineering Design (IED) and Principles of Engineering (POE). These two classes are a part of the Project Lead the Way® program.
IED is one of three foundation courses in the Project Lead The Way® high school pre-engineering program. The course applies and concurrently develops secondary level knowledge and skills in mathematics, science, and technology.
Principles Of Engineering (POE) is a high school-level survey course of engineering. The course exposes students to some of the major concepts that they will encounter in a postsecondary engineering course of study. Students have an opportunity to investigate engineering and high tech career POE gives students the opportunity to develop skills and understanding of course concepts through activity-, project-, and problem-based learning.
As a CTE teacher, I strive to prepare my students for entry into either a related field of employment or a more advanced post secondary training program.
