I am in my seventh year at Martin High School, teaching students. I am a graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, home of the fighting HOOSIERS!. My husband and I have lived in Arlington for 30 years and both of our children, Nathan and Whitney, graduated from Martin ('01 and '09). My work in the PASS/Positive Behavior Support program gives me an opportunity to work with students who have learning and behavior challenges that make it difficult for them to be successful in the classroom. I join our teaching assistants, counselors, administrators and the academic teachers of our students to meet their individual educational program needs.
It is my hope that each student receiving services from our program will be able to learn new and more successful ways to deal with the challenges that life brings to them. Through group discussions and individual counseling, I want to lead them towards maximixing their learning potential and enjoying their experience as a student at Martin AND ensuring that they are better prepared for life after high school.
