The mission of Morton Elementary is to preparestudents to be life-long learners by embracing and celebrating cultural differences, setting high expectations and seeking our students' full academic and social potentials.


We Believe:

All children can learn.

Education of children takes the whole community.

It is the responsibility of the staff to provide a school environment that is safe and supportive for children.

It is the responsibility of the parent to see that children are ready for their day.

It is the responsibility of the student to know and understand that "respect equals respect".

December 1st-5th: PTA Holiday store. Come get a gift for someone special and get something for yourself! Students will have a certain time each day that they can buy. Parents are welcomed at anytime during the school day to make a purchase.

December 19th: Early release time. Students will be released at 1:45. Please make sure your student(s) is picked up at this time.

Sweatshirt ordering time!. Sweatshirt orders are being taken now! Don't forget to order yours today before it's too late.
Reminder: There is no tutoring on Wednesdays.

The weather is getting cooler. Make sure your student is dressed appropriately for the changing weather. Remember - sweatshirts, sweaters, and jackets may only be worn inside the school if they are solid white, solid navy, or light blue.

Registration Information:To enroll a new student please bring
• Current Immunization Record
• Proof of residency
• Last Report Card
• Social Security Card
• Birth Certificate
• Proof of Parent/ Legal Guardian's Name and Date of Birth (i.e. Driver's License)

Morton Elementary is a uniformed school. The uniform requirements are as follows:

Boys
Shirts:
A collared light blue, navy blue, or white polo-style shirt, or a button down blue or white collared dress shirt, or a Morton Mustang T-shirt.

Pants or shorts:
Plain Docker-style pants/ shorts navy or khaki and must be worn with a belt.

Girls:
Shirts:
A collared solid light blue, navy blue, or white polo-style shirt, or a button down blue or white collared dress shirt, or a Morton Mustang T-shirt.

Pants or shorts:
Plain Docker-style pants/ shorts navy or khaki and must be worn with a belt.

Skirts:
Navy or Khaki skirts that are of appropriate length (refer to Arlington ISD Dress Code Policy).

For all students:
Only blue or white sweaters, sweatshirts, and jackets may be worn. Clothing should not have any large logos or lettering on them. Hats and sweatshirt hoods are not allowed to be worn in the building at any time. Only Morton Elementary T-shirts are to be worn. No other t-shirts are allowed and all shirts must have a collar and be tucked in at all times. Uniforms should be clean and free of holes.
