Morton's Community Partner, Southside Financial Services Makes a Big Impression

Jessica Allen, a former Morton student, and the company she works for, Southside Financial Services, gave every 4th Grade student a $2.00 bill in a Christmas card.  The students were shocked to see a $2.00 bill, especially when they realized it was theirs for keeps.  The students wrote to the employees at the company to thank them for the gift when they returned from the holiday break.  This begins a pen pal relationship that Morton and the bank hope to keep going throughout this year.  Morton's 4th graders are preparing for the writing STAAR test, so this is great practice for them.  A big thank you to the employees of Southside Financial for being such a thoughtful community sponser.
