WHAT IS THE FAMILY INVOLVEMENT PROGRAM?

The family Involvement Program is designed to offer activities and meetings that build the bridge between home and school and encourage parental involvement with their student's academic carrier. Three different kinds of programs are offered each month: 1- Academic meetings, meetings about TAKS on Reading, Math, and Science, preparation and material being covered. 2- Parent meetings on bullying, building positive self steam, conference with your teacher, toddler time. 3- Building capacity , fun family evenings where we play games, bingo, fall festival, or activities that empathize family communication among other things.


Being sure that your child has a regular schedule and enough time to sleep.

Being sure that your child attends school regularly and that he/she arrives on time
Asegurese que su hijo/a asista a la escuela regularmente.

Reading with and listening to your child read every day( Visit with your Family Center to check out books in different languages)
Lea con su hijo/a y escuchele leer todos los dias ( Visite el Centro de Familia, tenemos libros de diferentes idiomas)

Read and respond the communication the communication from the School.
Lea y responda las comunicaciones de la Escuela.

Going to Parent/Teacher conference
Asista a las conferencias de Padres y Maestros

Learning how to help your child in School
Averigue que puede hacer Usted para ayudar a su hijo/a a obtener la mejor educacion posible

Attending parent/family meetings.
Atender y tomar ventaja de las juntas de padres de familia

Check with your Family Representative for other asistance .
Cheque con su Representante Familiar si necesita otro tipo de ayuda.
