Classroom Procedures

1. WHAT DID YOU DO IN CLASS TODAY?
Copy your assignments for every class, everyday in your Shack Attack. They must be copied word for word from the board. Shack Attacks will be checked everyday. You will have a binder check every two weeks.

2. I WAS ABSENT YESTERDAY, WHAT DID WE DO IN CLASS?
You are responsible for your Make-Up work. When you return, copy your assignments from the Homework board and pick-up any worksheets from daily folder in blue crate. You will have one day for each day you are absent to get it turned in. If you miss a quiz, see me ASAP to make it up.
I will not ask, that’s your job.

All grades will be posted as a zero until you make up the work.

3. WHAT DO I DO WITH MY HOMEWORK?
Papers will be due at the beginning of your class period. Completed late papers will be accepted with a fifty point penalty.
8th Grade – 2nd Semester I will accept NO LATE WORK.
Gotta get you ready for Lamar!

 4. CAN I GET CREDIT FOR SOMEONE ELSE’S WORK?
NO! Cheating of any kind will not be tolerated and will result in a zero and a parent phone call.

5. GET TO CLASS ON TIME. THERE IS NO DISCUSSION ON THIS.
Each time you are tardy to class will reduce your Citizenship grade by 5 points and will result in an assignment to Lunch D-Hall or Tardy School.

6. REQUIRED STUDY TIME (two hours per week).
AVID Club                             8:15-8:45                  Monday through Friday
Homework Help                  4:00-5:00                  Monday through Thursday

All teachers also have tutoring hours before or after school for help in their subject area.

Your “DOC” sheet with tutoring times and signatures will be due every Friday for a QUIZ grade.

7. HOW AM I DOING?
Progress Reports will be sent home for every student each six weeks. A list of all assignments and grades for each student will be given also at the three weeks and six weeks grading periods. Progress Reports signed by the parent and returned to me will earn a free 100.
