Thornton Elementary Mission Statement

The faculty and staff at Thornton Elementary will provide the safest, most challenging, and “risk free” environment possible for all students to maximize learning. 

• We will differentiate instruction to meet the many unique needs of our learners while providing opportunities to connect their learning experiences and background knowledge.
  
• We will continue to make data driven decisions to focus our teaching, which coupled with AISD best practices, will support students’ academic achievement. 
  
• We will promote positive home-school relations by offering many opportunities for families to engage in meetings that will be relevant to all. 

It is with these goals in mind that Thornton Elementary will be the best place for our students to believe, achieve as we march on the "Road to Recognized"!
