Supplemental Educational Services
Under No Child Left behind, a Title 1, Part A campus identified as Stage 2 or above is required to arrange for the provision of Supplemental Educational Services (SES) for who qualify for free and/or reduce lunch.
SES must be implemented at the beginning of school for any campus identified stage 2 or above and continued until the campus exits School Improvement status.
Definition of SES
Supplemental Educational Services are additional academic instructions designed to increase the academic achievement of student in campuses needing improvement. These tutoring services are aligned with the State‘s academic content standards. SES must be provided outside of the regular school day. SES is not homework assistance.
