Reading Improvement

My 7th and 8th graders have both finished their novels, and we will be focusing more on reading comprehension skills from novellas and very short stories in the upcoming weeks.

I will let the parents know when we begin our next novel, as well as what the novel will be. Any and all parents are encouraged to contact me via phone or e-mail whenever they have questions or concerns.

In turn, they will hear from me with any concerns or praise regarding their child. As a whole, they did quite well on the novels which we recently completed.

Also, throughout the year, both grades will work continuously on new vocabulary words. We are introduced to two new words per day, followed by a quiz each time we complete ten words.
