The 2nd Annual Practice-A-Thon is underway! All band students should have received their packets for this fundraiser and already solicited pledges from sponsors (family, friends and known neighbors) for minutes of practice performed during the week of 2/23 to 2/29. Remember, students may also present perspective sponsors with the option o making a one-time specific amount as their donation to his/her fundraising efforts. There is still time to meet your minimum goal of $50 in the practice-time "earnings" to help support your Bulldog Band Program, including activities such as our end-of-year Band Banquet and Awards Ceremony (May 23rd).

The pie throw was slated for March 14th but now will be rescheduled for sometime after UIL contests. That's right. For every $50.00 a band student raises he/she will have the opportunity to throw a pie in the face of their favorite Boles Band director! Parents: We are asking that you please monitor and "sign-off" on your student's practice sheet and return it, along with the pledge form AND all monies raised in the envelope that was sent home by March 7th. Checks may be made out to the boles Band Booster Club, OR the BBBC. Many thanks for your continued support of the Bulldog Band Program.

What Should My Student Be Practicing?

Varsity Band and Beginner Band: Lines in the book and music passed out in class. They will have weekly chair tests over material covered in class.

Symphonic and Concert Band: They should be working on their all city/ all region audition music and scales. Students need to keep all their class grades passing in order to remain eligible for auditions.
