As teachers, we come into class expecting that you as students will learn ON YOUR OWN what you need to know in order to be successful in our classes and in our subject areas.
What is cheating?
1.  The intent to use another student's answers regardless of whether or not you record them.
2.  Using any answers that are not your own.
3.  Giving answers to another student in any way.
What does cheating involve?
1.  Looking at another student's paper during a quiz or test.
2.  Asking another student for an answer, or even asking what the other student got for an answer on class work, homework, quizzes or tests. Some exceptions are possible:  for example, SOME daily math exercises are exempt.
3.  Looking at another student's answers on class work or homework.
4.  Asking another student who has already had the class what the questions were on a homework or class work assignment, or for a test or a quiz.
5.  Asking another student who has already had the class what the correct answers were for a homework or class work assignment or on a test or quiz.
6.  Looking at another student's graded homework or class work assignment, quiz or test before going to that class.
7.  Looking at a teacher's key without permission even if you have already turned in the assignment, quiz, or test.
8.  Having another person, such as another student, a parent, brother or sister complete an assignment for you.
9.  Borrowing another student's paper to copy off or part of it.
10.  Asking another student for the answers to an assignment and then recording the answers.
11.  Taking another student's assignment and turning it in as your own.
What are the consequences of cheating?
1.  A zero will be given to the work in question for the student or students involved.
2.  Ten points will be deducted from the six weeks citizenship grade of the student or students involved.*
*If a student is involved in cheating a second time during the school year, an "F" in citizenship will be given for the six weeks in which the second incident occurs.
