Board approves bond construction at Foster, Moore and Wood Elementaries

Foster Elementary

Sept. 2, 2016 – The AISD Board of Trustees approved the guaranteed maximum price for bond-funded construction projects at Foster, Moore and Wood Elementaries at the Sept. 1 board meeting. Now the district will proceed with the construction projects designed by KAI Architects. Pogue Construction will serve as the construction manager.

All three schools will receive two STEM labs, a strings room and security vestibule. In addition, they will receive roof repairs, mechanical and electrical upgrades and deficiency improvements.

Moore will be able accommodate the new STEM labs and strings room by renovating spaces within the existing building. However, at Foster, a two-classroom STEM addition will be necessary. At Wood, an addition will be built for a new library, which will clear up space in the existing building for STEM and strings rooms.
