New Citizen Bond Oversight Committee members receive orientation

Oct. 14, 2016 - New members of the Citizen Bond Oversight Committee received an orientation on Wednesday evening to prepare them for their upcoming year of service. The committee meets quarterly to review progress of the 2014 Bond program and reports twice a year on its findings to the AISD Board of Trustees.

Kecia Mays, AISD Board member and chair of the Board's Community Engagement Committee, and new CBOC Chair William Deakyne welcomed the new members and reviewed the committee's charge. [Read the charge.] Then AISD staff, including Chief Financial Officer Cindy Powell and Executive Director of Fiance Tony Drollinger gave an overview of the bond program and status update.
