McNutt Elementary students collect supplies for a Houston classroom

Sept. 21, 2017 - Fourth-grade students from McNutt Elementary recently collected supplies for the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Houston. The supplies will help a Houston classroom get back on its feet.

McNutt Elementary opened last year and is one of two new elementary schools funded by the 2014 Bond program.

McNutt Elementary students are not the only ones helping hurricane victims. Students at Corey Academy of Fine Arts and Dual Language collected school supplies for a preschool and elementary in Dayton, Tx. Then Corey Men's Club representatives journeyed to Dayton to deliver the supplies.

Corey Academy, formerly Corey Elementary, was renovated with bond funds and converted into a fine arts/dual language school.
