Burgin Elementary opened in
2000, located at the corner of Mayfield and Center streets.
Our school has the privilege to
carry the name of Tillie and Bob Burgin. Tillie and Bob are wonderful
examples of what unconditional love and hard work can do for
a community. We are honored to be Burgin Bengal's. Tillie established
Mission Arlington in 1986, and still serves as the program's
director. Mission Arlington began as a small bible study group
held at the apartment of a woman whose electric bill Tillie helped
pay. The organization has expanded into 220 locations, providing
food, clothing, and assistance to more than 3,000 needy residents
each week. |
